In this current piece, Southern is looking at how the process of photographs are shown as 2 dimensional, whereas in the material world they are 3 dimensional. By videoing Southern is illuminating the fact that we are easily manipulated by visual communication and technology. In doing this she shows how we unable to trust what we see in front of our own eyes. The Overhead projector is a symbol of how slow we are at processing what we see and this also emphasises the ease to which we are constantly being manipulated.
